Dr. Dina Nemr,
(MYP) Coordinator


Dr. Dina Nemr is the Middle Years Programme (MYP) Coordinator and MYP Science Teacher at Uptown International School. She is an American-Egyptian medical doctor who discovered her passion in education. 

After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at Ain Shams University, Dr. Dina pursued a number of postgraduate degrees, including a Master’s Degree in Chemistry at the American University in Cairo (AUC), and conducted her scientific research projects at Colorado State University, USA. 

Dr. Dina has 7 years of experience in teaching, training, and leading workshops for a range of ages from Middle School, University, and Adult learners. She holds a post-graduate certificate in education (PGCE) and is currently completing her second Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Dundee, Scotland.

Dr. Dina has also taught middle school science in the American system following the New Generation Science Standards (NGSS). In her science classroom, students experience a passion for science as they engage in scientific discovery, active inquiry, critical and creative thinking, hands-on investigations, and environmental awareness.
