Ms. Louise D'Aragon,
Head Of School
Ms. Louise d’Aragon has been working in education for over forty years, including twenty-five years in the International Baccalaureate (IB) educational world.
Ms. Louise d’Aragon is passionate about all IB professional development projects, she has worked as a senior moderator, subject guide and training designer, workshop leader, consultant, school visitor, IB online professional development lead facilitator, and IB lead educator.
It is with great professional pleasure that she joins Uptown International School to contribute to its educational success.
Ms. Louise d’Aragon has taught at all age levels, from preschool, primary, and secondary to teacher training students at the University of Montréal, Canada. She held positions as MYP coordinator in several Quebec schools. When she “officially” retired from school, she became deeply involved in various IB projects and international educational consulting. At the same time, she worked as a lead facilitator for IB online professional development.
Before joining Uptown International School, Ms. Louise d’Aragon was the founding Director of an IB school in Mali from 2018 to 2020 and led the school successfully to authorization to offer the IB Diploma program. Then, she joined “Le Groupe Scolaire International Les Nouvelles Générations” on Djerba Island, Tunisia, and was actively involved in implementing and successfully authorizing the three IB programmes.
Ms. Louise d’Aragon finds joy in the challenge of helping schools implement IB programmes activities. This includes developing training for staff, teachers, parents, and of course, those who constitute the very core of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes: Our dear students!
